Healthpointe Day 2 - Jump Start Day 2

DAY 2 SUMMARY

Today I completed my second protein day, tomorrow I get to introduce more food types such as vegetables, fruit and cheese.  My second protein day felt more natural with the frequent snacking and the small lunch and dinner portion sizes.  I still don't really dig the supplementation part of the program.  It's a real pain in the bum and I'm not sold on it at all.  Still I will continue it as it is part of the program.

My Healthpointe pack came with two audio cd's and since my drive to and from work was quite long today I decided to have a listen.  Most of the talks are about how great Healthpointe is from some guy who I don't even know is a qualified nutritionist or has any background in science.  There are also some testimonials from random people who I don't really give a flying pig about.  These people will talk about how great Healthpointe is for them etc.  Thing is they are part of the 'business' too, meaning the Amway/Network21 business.  Although much is said about how Network21 is separate to Amway they really can't hide that it's still Amway in the end.  It's like trying to say McCafe is not really McDonald's, it's a separate arm.  It doesn't work.  They harp on about the benefits of supplementation for the bulk of the audio.  I guess they realise that the supplements are the hardest sell and the biggest money maker because guess what, I don't have to buy the Healthpointe program again but I do have to repeatedly buy the supplements.

In the end the program reeks of Amway trying to milk the whole thing to death.  The way I see it Healthpointe itself would be mostly good enough without the supplements.  Sure the supplements may speed things along but I don't really see much benefits from them so far though that may change as the program progresses.  I have no doubt that Healthpointe as a program works, I just doubt that the supplements are really all that necessary.

Anyway enough ranting.
